抄録

The genetic study on alkaline phosphatases of the midgut tissue and digestive fluid was carried out using two mutants. F (Aph1) and S (Aph2) isozymes of the midgut tissue in F2 generation of the cross of S- (phenotype F++S-) strain and F- (F-S++) strain were analysed by the polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis and the intensity of phosphatase bands was measured by a densitometer. From the result of segregation of F and S bands the recombination value between Aph1 and Aph2 was found to be 38.2%.<br>By comparison of the phosphatase activity in the digestive fluid and the intensity of F and S bands in F2 generaiton, the strong correlation of the S isozyme in the midgut tissue and digestive fluid phosphatase was shown.<br>The phosphatase activity in the digestive fluid of 494 larvae segregated in F2 generation was measured individually, and two peaks in frequency of phosphatase activity was found; the first peak is considered to correspond to Aph2-/Aph2-, and second peak corresponds to Aph2+/Aph2- and Aph2+/Aph2+ larvae.
