Description

Br and Cl ratios and trace-element contents of fluid inclusions in quartz from miarolitic cavities and quartz veins at the Tsushima granite, Nagasaki Pref., Japan, were analyzed by particle-induced X-ray emission (PIXE) to examine chemistries of granite-derived fluids in granite body with shallow emplacement level. Two-phase fluid inclusions from the cavities and quartz veins in the body and the surrounding Pb-Zn ore deposit have Br/Cl weight ratios of about 0.0010. Polyphase inclusions from the cavities and the quartz veins in the body yield Br/Cl ratios of about 0.0030, while those from quartz veins in the ore deposit range from 0.0074 to 0.0120.
