Abstract

The purpose of the research is the head up display's visibility experiment, and the difference of the visibility of the Japanese and the Europe and America people is clarified.<BR> The testee was a teacher, a student at Sophia University, and it did for 60 total people such as 24 Americans, 9 Germans, 8 British, and 4 Suaden people. <BR> The experiment method measured the time that was able to be recognized after Snellen's chart that set three levels per five factor "Angle of depression", "Brightness contrast", "Display distance", "Display size", and " Display color " was made, and displayed. "Brightness contrast" and "Display size" influenced the visibilities most.<BR> When the experiment results of the Japanese and the Europe and America people were compared, "Brightness contrast" and "Display size" influenced the visibilities most. However, it was clarified that the Europe and America people was sensitive to the size and the brightness change though the Japanese tended to like "Brightness contrast" high.
