Abstract

In order to catch the urban riverfront space sequentially, the animation images are created by omputer graphics from the standpoint on the bridge, on the water and at the riverside. This paper attempts to find out the issues and methods concerned about keeping the urban space in amenity on assumption of constructing the super embarkment for future through the psychological experiment using the sequential landscape images as the stimulating media. It is concluded that the evaluation value depends on the standpoint of the viewer, and it is much more important to that the macro landscape composotion for the viewer on the bridge, and sequential landscape for viewer on the water and micro landscape for viewer atthe riverside should be considered. The embarkment with stairs from the viewpoint of attractions of urban area and the embarkment with a gentle slope planted with shrubs from the viewpoint of calmness and amenityrich are desirable.
