- The Illustration Activity for Reading Comprehension of Technical Text
抄録
This paper reports on the effectiveness of illustration activity for advanced learners to understand the logical structure of technical text. The activity features a sequence of steps that include (1)Illustration (illustrate text summary), (2)Peer Learning (make remarks on the illustration), and (3)Text Writing (summarize the text based on the illustration). The comparative analysis of the relations between illustrations and text summaries by focusing on learners' exact comprehension of key words and logical structures of the text was done, which proved that the illustration activity is effective to deepen learners' comprehension of the logical structure of technical text.
