抄録

Clinical studies on ticarcillin, a new semisynthetic penicillin, were performed in the severe infections complicated with hemopathy. The results obtained were as follows.<BR>1. Ticarcillin was administered successfully at a daily dose of 6 to 16g in combination mainly with aminoglycoside antibiotics to 4 cases of suspected septicemia with underlying disease of acute myelogenous leukopenia (AML).<BR>2. Ticarcillin was administered successfully at a daily dose of 16 g in combination with CEZ and GM to 1 case of pneumonia due toEnterobacter andKlebsiella with AML.<BR>3. No noteworthy side effect of ticarcillin was observed, except eruption in 2 cases out of 10 cases in 7 patients treated.
