We investigated the growth and protein profile of Escherichia coli under various gravity strengths to determine the effects of hypergravity on biochemical reactions. E. coli grows at less than 7,500g without inhibition. Hypergravity induced OmpW and Antigen 43. Changes in gravity strength altered the expression levels of these proteins. This suggests that hypergravity regulates gene expression in bacteria.
