<p>Force feedback devices are attracting attention as a means to apply virtual reality and augmented reality to sports, entertainment, and rehabilitation. We have developed a force feedback device Using pneumatic artificial muscle and magneto-rheological fluid clutch. However, there were problems such as increase in the weight of the device and complication of control system. In order to solve these problems, a new force feedback method using an elastic spring and a magneto-rheological fluid clutch was proposed. The force feedback characteristics of the force feedback method were modeled. A 1-degree-of-freedom force feedback device using a new force feedback method was developed. Modeled characteristics of force feedback were confirmed by conducting experiment for rendering elasticity using the device.</p>
