Description

We have not so many studies on the revolt of Blo bzan bstan hdsin in the Ch'ing-hai region 青海 in 1723 under the reign of Yung chêng-ti 雍正帝. The gereral history of the Ch'ing dynasty 清朝 describes it only as a minute revolt in the frontier. The Ch'ing dynasty, however, by defeating the revolt, proclaimed the Qosirun System 旗制 in this region for the first time and succeeded in taking this area into its territory. This article, after investigating the cause, the process and the effect of this revolt, will show that after the conquest of the Ch'ing-hai region by Guši qan the activity of the Qosirud tribe came to a final end.
