Description
<p>The purpose of this research is to clarify the design condition of graphics for sign and research methodology including people with intellectual disabilities.</p><p>In this research, sign graphics pasted to the door in group home for people with intellectual disabilities were designed to distinguish their rooms easily. Ten adults with intellectual disabilities who cohabit in the group home were surveyed about their preferences for graphics on the door different in level of abstraction (concrete / semiabstract / abstract).</p><p>As a result, concrete was selected the most. The sign graphics were designed considering this result and harmony with the surrounding environment of living space.</p>
