Description
As a means of obtaining coolness, it is considered more useful to use an air flow than to lower the ambient temperature. The perception of airflow is thought to be perceived by the sense of cold or touch on the skin. An experiment was conducted in which the cold stimulus or the air flow was applied to the forearm in an environment of temperature 25 ° C and humidity 50%. The purpose of this study was to clarify the relationship between the wind velocity that perceives airflow and the cold threshold. As a result, the wind velocity at which the airflow was perceived increased as the subject reduced perception of cold stimulation. There was no difference in the relationship between the wind speed perceived by the airflow and the cold threshold due to the difference in the physical characteristics of the subjects. However, there were differences due to differences in the means of obtaining coolness in daily life.
