Abstract
Through analysis of the current state of teaching in the Hiroshima Bunka Gakuen University and Japanese universities, I organized the problems facing universities today. And improving university teaching, I set three challenges. Three challenges are ① how to teach social common sense ② how to teach basic academic skills ③ solution for lowering of Student motivation for learning. For three challenges, I showed two proposals. One is the lesson plans utilizing “Fundamental Seminar”. And the other is the improvement of student assessment in the lecture.
