Description
Recently, lots of low-cost carrier(LCC) companies have founded and get popularization as new airline style. In Japan, Peach Aviation started business as LCC in 2012. However, it is true that some companies are suffering from a slump in business. Peach Aviation succeeded because it sets up hub airport in Kansai International Airport and runs many cash-cow routes. To establish new LCC company, considering airline networks is the most important to success. Therefore, in this research, we propose a mathematical model to optimize airline network, flight volumes, and number of crafts for maximize new LCC's profit supposing hub-spoke style using mathematical programming problem simultaneously. First, we calculated the case of single-hub problem, and multi-hub is considered after that. When both Narita and Kansai International Airports are picked as hub airport, new LCC's profit is maximized.
