<p>LOD (Linked Open Data) is wildly used as a method to publish open data on the Web with linkages between each other. Many communities make effort to spread LOD. In Japan, there are not only research communities in several domains but also domain independent activities for promoting LOD. As an example of such activity, this article mainly focuses on LOD hackathon Kasai and introduces some applications of LOD developed through such community activities from viewpoints of “linkages” between ideas, data, technologies.</p>
