抄録

This study investigated the returned students opinions toward homemaking and the extent of their understanding. The results are as follows: 1. About 63% of elementary school students and 48% of junior high school students showed preference to study homemaking in mixed classes. They did not require the use of textbooks written especially for returned students, and to receive special treatment in class. 2. About 82% of the former and 60% of the latter estimated they understood the contents of homemaking, but teacher's evaluation showed insufficient understanding. 3. About 37% of the former and 23% of the latter admitted that it was useful to have lived overseas. 4. As returned students are increasing every year, problems in homemaking education will increase. Hence, teachers must face them seriously.
