説明

The adducts were obtained from various dienes and alkyl isobornyl maleates (2) in high yields.<BR>These adducts containing terpenyl groups were thought to be valuable as intermediates for anionic or nonionic surfactants.<BR>Diels-Alder reactions of various dienes [1, 3-butadiene (1), isoprene (4), cyclopentadiene (6), 1, 3-p-menthadiene (8), alloocimene (10)] with these maleates (2) were carried out in an autoclave or by refluxing.<BR>Addition reactions of (2) with (1), (4), (6), (8), (10) yielded a cyclohexa-4-ene-1, 2-dicarboxylic acid alkyl-isobornyl-ester (3), 4-methyl-cyclohexa-4-ene-1, 2-dicarboxylic acid-alkyl-isobornyl-ester (5), bicyclo [2.2.1] -hept-5-ene-2, 3-dicar-boxylic acid-alkyl-isobornyl-ester (7) and 1-isopropyl-4-methylbicyclo [2.2.2] -oct-5-ene-2, 3-dicarboxylic acid-alkyl-isobornyl-ester (11), respectively.<BR>(alkyl; ethyl, n-butyl, 2-ethyl-hexyl)
