JETOC is the sole organization in Japan, which was established for the purposes of investigating information on safety of chemical substances and executing the co-operative test and so on, has chemical industries and associations as the members, and conducts various information services. The author describes acquisition of information, information exchange between foreign information organizations and JETOC, gathering method of information such as reference materials, and then the routine work of JETOC, investigating laws and regulations on safety of chemical substances and toxicity. JETOC publishes information bulletins, and holds lecture classes and meetings. The future plan of making JETOC information system is mentioned.
