抄録
耳鼻咽喉科領域感染症に対するazithromycin (AZM) の基礎的ならびに臨床的検討を行つた.<BR>体液・組織内移行においてAZMは中耳粘膜, 副鼻腔 (上顎洞, 篩骨洞) 粘膜, 扁桃, 顎下腺へ良好な移行を示し, 長時間組織内濃度が維持された.<BR>総症例180症例に原則として3日間投与した結果, 効果判定が可能であつた139例の有効率は中耳炎73%, 副鼻腔炎77%, 扁桃炎79%, 咽喉頭炎74%など全体として76 %であつた. 細菌学的効果は, 全体で85%の菌消失率であつた. 副作用は1例 (発現率1%), 臨床検査値の異常変動は計8例 (発現率6%) に認められた.<BR>以上の結果から, AZMは中耳炎, 副鼻腔炎, 扁桃炎, 咽喉頭炎などをはじめとする耳鼻咽喉科領域感染症に対して有用性の高い薬剤と考えられた.
