Description
When stimulation to which the amplitude modulates is presented, the visual stimulation that synthesizes two or more signals with different frequency of the time of the brightness change and the signal into which brightness changes at random are perceived to the periodicity that corresponds to the envelope of the brightness change. However, there is no example of the detailed examination of the difference of the envelope perception that the frequency of the composition signal brings, and details of the extraction mechanism of the envelope are not clarified. The career frequency, the modulation frequency, and the modulation level of the amplitude modulation stimulation were changed, and in the actual experiment, the detection limen at the envelope cycle was measured, and the brain magnetic field was measured. The detection limen of the envelope rose when the career frequency was high as a result of the detection limen measurement. As a result of the brain magnetic field measurement, the brain reaction element corresponding to the envelope cycle was seen. When the career frequency was high, the change according to an increase at the modulation level was not seen though the size grew with the increase of the modulation level when the career frequency was low. This corresponds to the result of the detection limen measurement that it becomes difficult for the periodicity of the envelope to be perceived when the career frequency rises.
