Abstract
We carried out isobaric-isothermal Monte Carlo simulationsto study Lennard-Jones supercritical fluids.The static structure factors are calculatedfrom the coordinates of the particles,and investigated by use of the Ornstein-Zernike(OZ) type function.It is found that the ridge of S(0) does not coincide with that of guzaiand lies in the lower-pressure regionin the pressure-temperature phase diagram.This result confirms the recent experiments.We interpret them qualitatively from a microscopic point of view,and discuss the characteristics of supercritical fluids.
