- 沖縄本島のミナミネズミマダニからの紅斑熱群リケッチア分離例
Description
2004年10月と2005年1月に，沖縄本島で捕獲した家鼠類と食虫類に寄生していたミナミネズミマダニから培養細胞を用いてリケッチアの分離を試み，紅斑熱群リケッチア5株を分離した．日本国内においては，これまでに4属9種のマダニ類から日本紅斑熱病原体Rickettsia japonicaやRickettsia helveticaなど4種（あるいは5種）の紅斑熱群リケッチアが分離されている．沖縄本島においても，タカサゴキララマダニから紅斑熱群の不明種Rickettsia sp. ATタイプの分離例があるが，日本産ミナミネズミマダニからはこれが最初の分離例となる．今回の分離株は，国内の既知種に該当するものがなく，タイ国のTT-118株やオーストラリアのFlinders Island spotted fever病原体のRickettsia honeiかその近縁種と推定された．
