Description
When we think about the act of writing, we tend to believe that, if we have things to say, words follow naturally. Yet the fact is not so. We should give a verbal form to whatever trivial subject and establish it in a written language; unless we do so, nothing can be comprehended clearly. Writing, in other words, is a simultaneous functioning of the hand that writes and the brain that thinks. What should be done in order to realize this working together of hand and brain in the "Japanese composition" class in high school? I will report our efforts in finding out the means through practical examples.
