Description

The typical attitude of a "koto yumin" is that they criticize and aesthetically accept civilization at the same time. Though Daisuke is the right person to be called "koto yumin", he is not supposed to be given such a name in this work. This is the word Soseki cast at the thought control in the Tenno system after the Taigyaku jiken (the case of high treason). Then which character is the worthiest of the name in Soseki's concept: Keitaro or Matsumoto or Sunaga? Each character's attitude towards society and his way of aesthetic acceptance of civilization is analyzed.
