- 造形の印象評価における「装飾」の考察
Abstract
<p>In this research, we discussed the role of the decoration and the relation between the decorative and the functional beauty. In our experiment, the participants compare and evaluated twenty images of two groups of products. We divided the impression factors to two properties; rational and emotional evaluation. We consider that these two properties are mutually exclusive and suppressive. We also consider that the beauty related to the decoration and the functional beauty are mutually exclusive. Even though the functional beauty not necessarily require decoration, we believe that there is different kind of beauty in the decoration, and the decoration still has an important role in modern design.</p>
