Abstract

<p>Essentially, the highest priority in plant operation is “safety” and it means that damage to people from plant accidents should never be occurred. In Japan, plant safety has been protected by strict maintenance and education and training for users. However, in a society where the working population declines as the birthrate declines and the population ages, visualization of tacit knowledge and the problem of technology transfer are emerging as safety issues in various industrial fields. In this paper, to tackle this problem, the design and systematization method of functional safety of plant based on international standard IEC（Interna tional Electrotechnical Commission） is introduced.</p>
