Abstract
<p> Focusing on the daily use of disaster-prevention parks, this study discusses the daily use values of evacuation facilities. The daily use values are analyzed by comparing the status of daily utilization of disaster-prevention parks and tsunami evacuation hills. Disaster-prevention parks have both functions of tsunami evacuation facilities and parks and evacuation hills does not have park functions. The target areas are Tachibana disaster-prevention park in Anan City, Tokushima prefecture, and Matsubara evacuation hill in Mihama town, Wakayama prefecture. As a result of questionnaire surveys, the disaster-prevention park is enjoyed a good view because of being built in high altitude, and it is used daily for walking and strolling. It is evident from the result that the participation rate in evacuation drills of people who use the park regurlarly is higher than people who use the park infrequently. Using the Contingent Valuation Method, the result shows that the maintenance of evacuation hill as facilities that can be used on a daily basis has benefits about 650 to 760 yen per year per family.</p>
