Description
There is a task to determine first arrival time of an elastic wave traveled through rock sample in order to measure sound velocity of that sample whose data is used in analysis of underground stratum structures. That is a time-consuming task only specialists can do because a judgment based on experience is necessary for picking up a signal from noises. We developed an automated high-precision determination technique of first arrival time by using machine learning where U-net, ResNet, and attention mechanism are combined.
