Description

<p> The section between Higashi-Oume and Oume on the Oume Line is a single-line section with large number of trains, which passing tonnage is 26 million tons. In the same section, heavy railing work to replace 50N rails with 60kg rails and accompanying work were carried out from FY 2016 to FY 2020 with the aim of improving the durability of the track. There are two crossing with an articulated track structure and four crossing with a Soken-type paving plate structure in the construction section. Especially, the two points of the articulated track structure are wide crossing that intervene in a sharp curve, and it was difficult to make the rail of the crossing part and the articulated block into 60 kg rails at the same time. There were many issues such as the need to replace it with a block of 60kg rails. we will introduce our achivements and our construction methods, focusing on the articulated track part.</p>
