Abstract

Buing-chull Lee (1910-1987), the founder of Samsung Group, was typical businessman who placed great importance on attracting and training talent, which is one of the key factors behind the success of Korea’s biggest Business Group, “Chaebol”. /   We can point out that Lee made three major business philosophy, “Economical Contribution to the Nation”, “Priority to Human Resources”, and “Pursuit of Rationality”. In this study the second philosophy, “Priority to Human Resources”, related to his entrepreneurship was considered. /   Byung-Chull Lee stressed that a company’s success depends oquired to place excellent people around him. The same principle may apply to corporate man knowledged that nurturing talent is key to corporate competitiveness.
