Description
To promote research and development of labor-saving and automation technologies for construction sites, the authors initiated a project titled "SIP Smart Infrastructure Management System," specifically Subproject A, "Construction of Innovative Construction Production Processes," in November 2023. This project consists of three areas: (a-1) Autonomous Earthwork for Total Optimization of the Construction Process, (a-2) Autonomous Measurement and Construction Technology for Inaccessible Locations, and (a-3) Automated Construction for Tunnel Blasting. This paper provides an overview of the automatic construction technology developed under R&D theme (a-1), for which the authors are primarily responsible.
