Description

In the Technology Education and Home Economics section of the Junior High School Teaching Guide for the Japanese Course of Study (announced in 2017), examples of teaching using 3D CAD and 3D printer technology are presented in "A Materials and Processing Technology," and practical research using these new technologies is required. This study aimed to construct a teaching process for discovering work problems designed by oneself using AR technology in the design scene related to "A Materials and Processing Technologies" and verify its effectiveness through lesson practice. During the teaching process, 3D CAD was used to design, cut, and assemble materials on a computer screen, and AR technology was used to project them to the scene where they were utilized to determine design issues. As a result of practice, it was confirmed that the image of the work could be materialized using AR technology, and it has become one of the steppingstones to solving the problem.
