Abstract
<p>An elastic telescopic structure makes it possible to realize a robot arm having high storability and high obstacle avoidance capability. In this paper, we developed an extension and contraction mechanism to realize this arm. In addition, we developed a prototype of the proposed arm by integrating with the previously developed bending mechanism and confirmed its motion.</p>
