Abstract

This paper is a review of studies on Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for workers with mental health problems. EAP is a worksite-based program designed to assist employees and work organizations. This program helps employees with their problems. Many companies have been supported by EAP in America. In Japan, companies which have adopted EAP have recently increased in number, but several issues have been discussed. So, this paper attempts to review the history of EAP and the current status of EAP in Japan.
