Description

This paper presents a verification the relationship in two western learning materials that published in the late 19th century in Japan. In terms of word order and vocablary, ABE Rekisai's EIRI-EIGOSEN-KAITEI is based on ISHIBASHI Masakata's Eigo Sen. As the results of comparing the two materials, that Japanese entry headwords match 69.4%, English entry headwords match 63.2%, and KATAKANA notations for describe English words match 44.9% at between each other. ABE augmented EIRI-EIGOSEN-KAITEI and evolved it than Eigo Sen in terms of research on birds.
