<p> In 2005, we developed a seismic retrofit technique using post-installed plate anchored shear reinforcing bars to increase the shear capacity of reinforced concrete structures, which can be applied even when site conditions are restricted. Since then, we have continued to expand the applicable scope of the technology in response to the needs of users, and have carried out the necessary experiments to verify the effectiveness of the technology without fail. As a result, this method has been applied to a number of infrastructure facilities. We are also actively engaged in research and development for new applications. In addition, to keep the construction reliability, which is of particular importance, we have established a construction method committee and are systematically educating personnel.</p>
