<p>Living in a constantly changing world requires one to deal with changes effectively. However, humans feel a psychological resistance when facing certain types of changes. In this research, we used online reviews of remakes and enhanced versions of Pokémon games to analyse the resistance that users feel in response to replacive changes and additive changes. Text mining analysis of the review data showed that the ratings of users who experienced replacive changes were significantly lower than the others, whereas they did not change much in case of additive changes. A survey focusing on those games is currently ongoing. An experiment using a custom-made game that will allow further control over the changes is also planned.</p>
