Description

<p>Advances in information technology (IT) and electronics have led to dramatic changes in society, resulting in greater affluence, convenience and efficiency. Undoubtedly, one of the major infrastructures supporting IT and electronics is silicon technology. The Silicon Technology Division of Japan Society of Applied Physics has summarized its long-term vision for the year 2040 as an academic roadmap on the silicon technology involving in the future society, based on predictions of short-term technical progress as presented in International Technology Roadmap for Semiconductors (ITRS).</p>
