<p> In this study, we simulated the drifting of vessels during the 2018 typhoon JEBI that attacked on the Kinki region on September 4, 2018 for future prediction of vessel drifting by typhoon. For the simulation, the wind field of the typhoon was created using an empirical model. The wind speed and direction in the simulation are calibrated with the observed values. Then, we examined the wind direction due to difference in deflection angle of typhoon. The wind direction was also adjusted to fit with the tracks of the vessels, then wind acts on the vessels was calculated. As a result, the calculated drifting direction and distance of the vessels were consistet with the observed ones. The calculated drifting speed was approximately reproduced well, but some discrepancies between calculated and observed values were confirmed.</p>
