Description

In this paper the author takes up an adolescent student who apparently doesn't have low self-esteem but has a deeper problem than those who shows low self-esteem. He can't receive teachers' common supports for increasing self-esteem which are thought important in today's school education. She tries to elucidate his being way by this case study. In this case the student can't be measured from the view point of self-esteem scale. Because his "non positionnel consciousness" (Sarter) of himself which is a foundation of self-esteem doesn't work enough. It is supposed that wholly approval and esteem which develops self-esteem should be acquired in a relationship between an adult and an infant. But he seems to have had few opportunities to get such approval and esteem in his babyhood stage. It means that he is already too older to gain them by such a way. However this paper shows that he could get them through a lot of easy and trifling dialog with volunteers. In such dialog people focus not on the contents but on the fact we are talking with. And she analysis that experience of dialog has affect on him to fulfill his self-consciousness.She cleared two points. The first is that there are children who can't be measured from the view point of self-esteem scale. The second is that dialog can function as a support for such a child.
