Abstract

<p>  As a new orchiopexy for intraabdominal testis, we performed the one-staged laparoscopic testicular artery and gubernaculum-sparing orchiopexy through inguinal canal using real-time vessel navigation with indocyanine green fluorescence (ICG) to evaluate blood flow of testicular artery. The peritoneum attached to testicular arteries and veins was completely peeled off to the origin of these vesseles. A new orchiopexy was performed in lateral position.</p><p>  We performed in 5 children with 7 months, 9 months, 11 months, 12 months, and 15 years old. All intraabdominal testes were unilateral, 3 cases in right side and 2 cases in left side. Two intraabdominal testes existed at inner inguinal ring, 2 testes in 2 cm from inner inguinal ring, and 1 testis in 4 cm from inner inguinal ring.</p><p>  All testes could be descended to the scrotum without tension, and The decrease in testicular artery blood flow due to ICG was not observed after orchiopexy. The operation time was 162±27 minutes. Postoperative observation period was 5 to 20 months and all testes were fixed in the middle scrotum and no atrophy was observed.</p>
