Description

【Purpose】Self-confidence, a concept related to quality of life, has been attracting attention as an indicator of social participation. The purpose of this study was to examine the reliability and validity of the Japanese version of the Communication Confidence Rating Scale for Aphasia (CCRSA), a self-confidence scale for communication by people with aphasia (PWA), and to conduct a preliminary study of the difficulty level and suitability of the sub-items.【Methods】13 PWA using long-term care insurance services in the living period were included in the study. Cronbach's α coefficient was used for internal consistency reliability, ICC for retest reliability, correlation coefficients with various indices for comorbid and discriminant validity, and Rasch analysis for determining difficulty and goodness of fit in for items in the statistical examination.【Results】The total CCRSA score showed high reliability and validity, while the ICC and Rasch analysis values were low for 3 items.【Discussion】Although the reliability and validity of CCRSA were confirmed, there were some items with issues in retest reliability and difficulty, which we need to revise in the future.
