Description
In this study, we used a head-mounted display to show the videos of other people approaching a participant who was lying or sitting on a nursing care bed. In the video, the approacher's gaze direction (participant's face or body) and facial expression (negative, neutral, or positive) were manipulated. As a result, when the approacher with positive expression gazed at the participant's face, the observer felt more pleasantly, and felt more familiar with and more willing to rely on the approacher. The participant also felt that they want to rely on the approacher when the participant was lying than sitting.
