Description
This study investigated how synchronous movement of the whole-body influenced impressions of virtual agent and behaviors. As the exercise task, we conducted the experiment in which the virtual agent and participants, who were university students, synchronously or non-synchronously repeated sit-down and stand-up through the rhythm of metronome. The results of the post-questionnaire by factor analysis showed that the impressions of the virtual agent in the synchronous condition enhanced more significantly than in the non-synchronous condition. We also discussed social application of virtual agent, which synchronously sits down and stands up, from the perspective of rehabilitation supports in fast-aging society.
