Abstract

<p>Multi-atom resonance in X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy was investigated for silicon compounds. When mixture of Si3N4 and cellulose power was irradiated by X-ray, the intensity of the N 1s photoelectron was reduced but that of the O 1s photoelectron was not reduced at the X-ray energy corresponding to Si 1s→3p* resonance. The results demonstrated that the multi-atom resonance occurs in the atom that is directly bound to the atom to be resonantly excited.</p>
