Description

Wireless communication systems have so far aimed to expand a communication capacity and throughput. With the growing demand of machine to machine (M2M) communication, wireless systems should support a commutation that a large number of users transmit small-sized packets simultaneously. We focus on interleave division multiple access (IDMA) that has superior user detection performance and present an LSI design of an interference canceller that performs user detection in OFDM-IDMA system for QPSK transmission. The conventional interference canceller has a problem in degrading data processing efficiency in interleave processing. The proposed one introduces a new architecture that processes two frames of IDMA received signals simultaneously. The proposed interference canceller has increased processing efficiency and reduced circuit area.
