Description

The brain is an automatic algorithm acquisition system. In oun present study, it has been concluded that the brain is a Non-Von Neumann computer with memory-based architecture. Here it should be noted that the algorithm acquired in the brain in a self-organized fashion is stored as the memory. The self-acquisition is performed as the algorithm, genetically obtained, of learning. We have proposed a novel learning algorithm which can associate one event with other timeseguentially occurring ones in an output-dependent manner. An artificial neuron network chip with 1OOO neurons with one million connections as a whole is fabricated with use of current silicon technoIogy, to demonstrate its computational ability and possibilities. All these technological development has been supported by the physiological experiments on rat hippocampus and its surrounding organs, with an optical imaging system. The optical system has been firstly developed by us, with which we can measure electrical activities in the brain at 16,384 sites in real time.
