Both national standards include several thousands Hanja/Kanji characters, but are not identical. The paper discusses coverage and characteristics of Korean Hanja by KSC under three features such as different pronunciation ; same form-different meaning and pronunciation ; same form and meaning-different pronunciation. Characteristics of national or "Sino-Korean" characters, about 500 are known to exist, are described. A comparison between KSC and JIS is made by form, by number, by variations.
