Description
WE have developed a measurement system with a personal computer and a digitizer, to catch up features of a morbid state of voluntary movement in patients with Parkinson's disease(PD),we examined effective parameters estimating quantitatively the tremor, the rigidity and the bradykinesia in a motion. The task of the experiment is to draw a circle by a stylus pen with visually tracking a target which has a motion in variable speed. As results, we found some effective parameters, which were(1)a gap at acceleration of motion,(2)a coefficient variance of time lag,(3)a time lag at start of motion,(4)a time lag at acceleration of motion and(5) a delayed time in a drawing circle, for distinguishing between normal subjects and PD patients. 51 of 66 PD patients could be correctly judged using these parameters.
