Description
Gaussian superlattices are known to have ideal characteristics as an energy band pass filter. We have studied the scattering properties by using a method of numerical computation to recognize analogy and distinction between characteristics of quantum scattering systems and electrical passive circuits. As a result, it has become clear that Gaussian superlattice we studied is not equivalent to passive circuits, and reflection probability has a little ripple in the pass band and there are no real resonant levels. Moreover, relation between filter characteristics and distribution of poles and zeros in the complex plane of the reflection coefficient has been discussed.
