Description
Worldwide attention has been paid on space debris issue and continual discussion has been made at UN COPUOS, ITU etc. The IADC (Inter-Agency space Debris coordination Committee) has been contributing to those sessions providing up-to-date debris engineering data reflecting debris research information exchange and coordination of proposed international campaign works. Japan has been playing a consistent role in steering IADC and promoting its 4 working groups;Observation, Modelling & Data base, Protection, and Mitigation. A fruit of good relationship given by the IADC member is the courtesy provision of radar image of crippled ADEOS satellite by German member for assisting trouble shooting. This paper introduces the role of IADC and future technical subjects to be coped with internationally.
